I'm in this Treasury on Etsy

Thru the kindness of fellow Etsian Sellers and their tips in the Forums I was able to copy the entire Treasury and post it on my Blog!
Such an honor to be included with such talent! And all I did was to find a pair of vintage earrings and list them for sale in my Etsy shop! :o)
Yeah, I feel like this was a major accomplishment for me to get this Treasury posted to my Blog!

Included in Treasury on Etsy

One of the exciting parts of being a Seller on Etsy is the support and recognition other Sellers will give to someone they don't know personally! I love being a small part of Etsy Seller and am so humbled to be a part of a Treasury. Check it out:

This link will only last a few days....and I'm having trouble getting the whole Treasury copied and printed but these are the earrings that made the above Treasure.

Recyling Vintage Jewelry

I recently listed a number of new items in my Etsy Shop, marlajdesigns.etsy.com

I love taking Vintage Jewelry Components and creating something new! My favorite is this Hair Comb. I used part of a Vintage pin, added a Swarovski Crystal....a few more Swarovski Crystals and Ta Da!!!
On the back of the pin component is "made in Austria". I didn't cover it up, you can still see it. I'm thinking this is pre WWII. There are also some Rhinestones still intact, as well. Vintage Swarovski? Don't know for sure...
I have some Vintage Jewelry Components I plan to create earrings with!!! Mmmmmm......

Listing Vintage Rhinestone Earrings

Early this afternoon I spent some time sorting and re-sorting my vintage jewelry stash. I found a few pieces of Rhinestone earrings to list on my Etsy shop. I was in the middle of a particularly brilliantly wording description when the site went phooey and I lost everything. Couldn't log back on! Bummer...you can check out what I did get listed today.

Later this afternoon I went to a football game at Warrior Run School that my granddaughter was cheering for.....shes a veteran cheerleader at the age of 9! I think she takes after her mom and aunt! She's the cute one in the middle of the picture. Kinda looks like she's takin' a snooze. But, very adorably, of course.

MY FIRST BLOG ENTRY!!!!

Ta Daaa!!!! I've thought about doing this for some time. So I finally did it! I have SO arrived!

I quit a great office job over a year ago due to family health concerns that needed me more. I found time for my jewelry. Joined Etsy. Supply a local Bridal Shop with Veils, Fascinators, BirdCage Veils, Jewelry, do alterations and fill in working at this Shop when needed. I feel like I have totally re-created myself and am having a ball! I was an Art Major in High School. Got married and had a few babies. Never went to college. ( bit of a regret) I always felt a bit ill placed at the office job but now feel like I'm doing what I was meant to.....creating....and having time to take care of family needs.
Today I'm going to the Bridal Shop to work 3 hours. Absolutely love it there! Customers are fabulous. I just feel so good when I'm there.....
